Jessie's love for horses was evident since her childhood. In her adolescence, she served as President of her local 4-H Horse and Pony Club, participated in Quarter Horse breed shows, attended numerous State, Local, and Regional competitions in Horsemanship, Showmanship, Western pleasure, Stock Seat Equitation, and Hunter Pleasure and Hunt Seat Equitation. In high school, Jessie attended a work release program for an Arabian Racing farm as an exercise rider and after high school was promoted Equine Breeding manager for Commonwealth Equine Reproductive Center in Ashland, VA. During that time, she also attended courses at N.C. State University in A.I. and Foal Management. A short time later, she started her Nursing Career and had a family. Fast forward 10 years, she has two horse crazy girls and coaches at her home and Sprouse's Corner Ranch. She is currently working on her Level II-CHA instructor certification in Western and Hunter disciplines and attends clinics, seminars, and continues her education daily. She has a passion for helping others achieve their goals. In her free time, she enjoys trail riding with her family, fishing, hunting, volunteering, and helping her family, friends, and neighbors.

Jessica Rula is a knowledgeable and compassionate riding instructor. My 10 year old daughter and I have had the pleasure of working with Jessie over the course of a year as beginner riders and new horse owners. Jessie has a good knowledge and understanding of horses and knows how to be firm and maintain discipline, for everyone’s safety. These characteristics have been essential in assisting us with a horse purchase, training beginner riders (myself included), preparing us to participate in horse shows (as the parent and the rider), and transitioning from boarding at her facility to our own. Lessons, group or individual, are engaging and enjoyable because Jessie is friendly, patient, enthusiastic, and has great communication skills to explain things clearly, making each lesson meaningful. She does her best to accommodate work and school schedules, offering flexibility to allow for many of life's hectic demands and she is willing to work and ride outside in all types of weather. Time at her barn has brought serenity, energy, humility and confidence which have had a positive impact on many other aspects of our life and learning. Jessie has helped me stretch my perspective on what riding means to me and taught me more than I expected about how to get the most out of my relationship with a horse. We are extremely grateful for everything that she has taught us to prepare us to be successful riders and owners.
